Good morning everyone! And…. Happy Valentine’s day!! Or some of you might say, “Single Awareness Day”, lol But who says Valentine’s day is only for couples? It’s for everybody – your friends, parents, siblings, children, etc. I went to Walmart yesterday to get Valentine presents for my boys – my hub and my two boys. [...]
I adore Garam Masala seasoning as it includes some of my favorite spices such as cumin, coriander, cardomom, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. I purchased my garam masala when my husband and I went to an Indian store a while ago – however, you can find it as the spice aisle at most grocery stores [...]
Good morning everyone! Today is a great day for me because guess what…. It’s my birthday!!! Well, now, I know you’re all going to ask how old are you today? Well… I am 31 years old! :) I know. Old. I know some of you shouted “SHUT UP!” and some of you probably said, “Wow, [...]
{This recipe was posted back when I re-started this blog last year… For some reason, an unknown plug-in was uploaded to my blog (a plug in that I had never seen before – called “old post promoter”. It was really weird because my networked blogs kept on posting my old posts on facebook and twitter! [...]
There are many things that I love about my husband – one of them is his great cooking skill. He lived in Japan for two years about 8 years ago (whoa, where did the time go?) and he picked up some great Japanese recipes there. Lucky for me because I get to try some of [...]
I love creating pasta dishes… I love adding fresh vegetables and herbs to my pasta. This time, I added some chopped rotisserie chicken and asparagus and the pasta was so refreshing and delicious.
These wraps? Delicious and it does taste like enchiladas except it’s cold and there’s no sauce over the wraps. But these wraps were delicious with creamy cream cheese and other yummy fillings inside the wraps.
I love the flavor of coconut. I love coconut milk. I love coconut milk in curry and soup. So yes, this soup is definitely one of my favorites. I have been following a diet plan that I’ve come up with since New Year’s. I’ve been making lots of soups because 1) They taste good 2) [...]
There are several Japanese dishes I just love – Kare (pronounced as “ka-ray”) is one of them. Japanese curry has a unique flavor that is different from other curries from other countries. I have made it for many guests before and it’s always been a hit!
I had friends in college who went and lived in Brazil for a while and learned how to make this delicious rice and beans. One of them used a pressure cooker to cook the beans and I knew I had to try making it as soon as I got my new pressure cooker. This way, [...]

Did I mention how I used to work as a student cook at my university a few years back? In fact, that’s how I met and married my husband. :) Good things are bound to happen when you’re around food, I must say. There were several dishes that I learned how to make while working [...]
Chicken marsala is one of my very favorite dishes ever. I like the unique taste of marsala wine (although I don’t drink myself – only judging from the taste from the cooked wine). Marsala sauce with mushrooms is so wonderful and rich in flavors.
So I’ve been having so much fun lately with making my own salad dressings at home. I’ve been trying to eat more greens in my diet – and I love being able to use fresh ingredients in my own salad dressings. This dressing I had the other night was fantastic with a great roasted jalapeno [...]
I have tried empanadas many times before but this was by far my favorite. It was creamy, cheesy, and flavorful from all the great ingredients. The dough had a softer texture which I loved, with a hint of cinnamon. The whole house smelled like heaven for a few hours from baking these delicious empanadas.
I have been looking for a creative way to use my cranberry sauce and this chicken recipe is now officially one of my favorites. Cranberries and Balsamic, who knew they could go so great together? The smell of the sauce was wonderful, the whole house smelled like heaven for a while. :)
Alright, guys, get your crockpot out because I have an amazing crockpot recipe for you. I love using my slow cooker when I am busy or when I feel a little lazy. Most slow cooker recipes require very simple and quick preparation – like this one, just combine all ingredients together and press that “high” [...]
